Tundra on 35s.

Thought I would post up a small write up on my 2015 tundra and fitting my 35's, I have not seen this method yet online. I put on 35's and they were rubbing the front bumper lining and the front skid plate. Luckily they did not rub the body mount. Hmm, I have the Zone 5 inch lift but w/ 20x9 +30 offset wheels with 35x12.50 and did not have to modify and really no trimming. We moved the front inside wheel well forward a little and slightly bent back the edge of the skid plate or trimmed it a little and removed flaps; no rub at all. I personally am in the Toyo crowd, but I know at least one person running Cooper 35x12.50x18 on stock rims. I think the Coopers might actually be a little less than 12.50, and I am pretty sure their specs are about 34.5 actual height. 07 DC SR5 TRD 4x4 5.7 TRD exhaust, 85K miles. I'd recommend trimming to fit a 37x12.5 mounted on a 10" wide 6x5.5 wheel at 4-1/2" (or 4-5/8") backspacing. You might never run that tire, but you can certainly run a Q78-16 TSL or a 36x12 SX, and if you want to play on 37s, you can.

I also changed out the wheels and tires for Toyo open country MTs 35in x 1250 x18, and Ultra 150s wheels. By the way, these are the only manufacturer of wheels that fit on the tundra with a 6in lift, on 35's, with Tundra's special new 5 bolt lug pattern (that no one else does), that don't rub at ALL.

My tundra is a 01 AC TRD, MB 72 wheels 16x8.5 and a -6 offset, BS of 4.5. I am currently running a Rancho quick lift with 2.5" of lift with the rs9000's, out back is a AAL and Firestone air bags. My old tires were BFG TA KO in a 305/70 r16. 55K later, and my new BFG TA KO in 315 /75 r16.
