I can only assume this is a bug as the only weapons I've seen in over 40 hours on 41.50 multihit are the metal axes. Regular humans don't swing weapons like the PZ PCs do. With multi hit you also get reduced exp with weapons. The setting assumes you're always hitting the maximum number of targets with a multi hit weapon. So if a crowbar only hits 2 enemies, you get 2/3 the normal exp because it could hit 3. But durability is still calculated assuming maximum target struck.
